Jacked Antler

Jacked Antler Review – Does It Really Increase Healthy Growth Hormone Levels or Not?

What Is Jacked Antler?

Jacked Antler is a fitness supplement in the form of a spray, manufactured by a small company. It’s meant to be sprayed into the mouth before and after a workout, and promises faster recovery, faster lean muscle gain, and increased strength and stamina. The makers of this supplement claim that you can see benefits in as little as 3-4 days. This supplement is designed for people trying to sculpt their body, build muscle, or improve general athletic performance.

If you’re interested in bodybuilding, sports, running, or losing weight, Jacked Antler could help you. As the ingredients provide very general benefits, such as the anti-fatigue effect of Green Tea Extract, it will likely show benefits in every area of your life. The cognitive benefits of some of the ingredients will leave you feeling fresh, alert, and sharp all day long.

This supplement is made with a variety of natural ingredients, including Deer Antler Velvet Extract, Tribulus Extract, Epimedium Extract, Eurycoma Longifolia Extract, Rhodolia Rosea Extract, Green Tea Extract, L-Theanine, L-Arginine, and Stevia Extract. However, there is a distinct lack of strong scientific support for the presence of most of these ingredients. Green Tea Extract and L-Theanine are arguably the most proven-effective of all of the ingredients.

Overall, this supplement is basically an overpriced, hyperbolic fitness supplement manufactured by a no-name company. You will probably see better results using a product that is more backed-up by scientific evidence. If you’re in doubt about any supplement, ask the professional opinion of a medical doctor on the efficacy of the ingredients.

This supplement should not be used by those pregnant, nursing, or under the age of 18. If you have a medical condition or take any prescription medications, ask a medical doctor for advice before using this, or any other, dietary supplement.

Manufacturer

This supplement is manufactured and sold by Jacked Labs LLC. The company is based in Maryland, and is a fairly young company, having been founded in July 2014. No other information seems to be available about this small company. Their website does state that their facilities are FDA-inspected, but there is no practical way to prove this claim.

If you distrust no-name companies with limited information about them available, this supplement might not be the one for you. However, if you like to support small businesses, then this supplement may be ideal for you.

How Jacked Antler Works?

The main selling point of this supplement is that it contains Deer Antler Velvet Extract. This extract contains a hormone called IGF-1. This is a naturally occuring growth hormone, found everywhere in the human body. It encourages cellular growth, organ health, regeneration of nerve tissue, good blood sugar levels, and production of amino acids.

Besides the Deer Antler Velvet Extract, the other ingredients, Tribulus Extract, Epimedium Extract, Eurycoma Longifolia Extract, Rhodolia Rosea Extract, Green Tea Extract, L-Theanine, L-Arginine, and Stevia Extract, all work together to synergistically improve strength, endurance, and energy.

According to experts from National Geographic, however, an excess of IGF-1 can cause tight tendons, and disrupt your metabolism. These experts also note that although doctors prescribe growth hormones for young people with stunted growth, they do not recommend its use by athletes and bodybuilders.

However, a recent study found that IGF-1 supplements helps heal cartilage damage in joints due to repetitive trauma. If you’re an avid runner, you might benefit from taking a supplement with Deer Antler Velvet Extract, as running is notorious for hurting one’s knees.

Ingredients of Jacked Antler

This supplement is made from a variety of natural extracts, including Deer Antler Velvet Extract, Tribulus Extract, Epimedium Extract, Eurycoma Longifolia Extract, Rhodolia Rosea Extract, Green Tea Extract, L-Theanine, L-Arginine, and Stevia Extract.

Deer Antler Velvet Extract comes from the velvety outer coating of the antlers of male deer. The velvet is present on their antlers during the precalcified stage. The use of antler velvet originates in Ancient China and traditional Chinese medicine. It’s used to treat deficiency of yang, or masculine energy. It also sees use in Korean folk medicine.

This substance is supposed to improve athletic performance, due to the hormones it contains, including testosterone. In one study involving 38 men, the use of antler velvet powder was linked to better muscle strength and endurance. In other research using rats, it was found that the substance may have an androgen-like effect.

Please note that antler velvet is a banned substance, and may contain other banned substances, for some sports leagues. In addition, deer velvet also contains the female hormones estrone and estradiol. This may be undesirable for male users, as the introduction of female hormones to a male body can wreak havoc, causing effects such as gynecomastia, emotional changes, and general lack of male hormones. The presence of female hormones in this substance probably cancels out any effect that the presence of testosterone will have.

The side effects and long-term safety of Deer Antler Velvet Extract are unknown. Use this substance at your own risk, and talk to your doctor before taking it. This supplement contains 21 mg of Deer Antler Velvet Extract per serving.

Tribulus Extract comes from a Mediterranean plant which produces fruits covered in spines. It’s an invasive species in North America. Tribulus is used in traditional Chinese and Indian medicine, and its extracts are popular among bodybuilders, although scientific evidence for its efficacy is lacking.

The makers of this supplement claim that it restores testosterone and boosts energy. Some studies suggest that it can enhance athletic performance. A recent study found that taking Tribulus Extract did not increase testosterone in young men. The long-term safety of taking Tribulus Extract as a dietary supplement is unknown, and several drugs interact with Tribulus Extract, including lithium, medications for diabetes, beta-blockers, and more, so talk to your doctor before using Tribulus Extract.

Epimedium is a flowering plant from China. The makers of Jacked Antler claim that the addition of Epimedium to this supplement will boost overall health, strength, endurance, and muscle recovery, as well as reduce fatigue. This plant contains icariin, which is a chemical that may help to enhance your general blood flow. There is insufficient evidence to back up any of the claims that the makers of this supplement have made for this plant.

However, Epimedium may be unsafe to use for a long period of time, or in high doses. Users of Epimedium report dizziness, vomiting, dry mouth, thirst, and nosebleed. Epimedium also interacts with medications for high blood pressure and medications that slow blood clotting. Using this supplement in high doses or for a long period of time may cause you to experience these or any other side effects.

Eurycoma Longifolia is a flowering plant from Southeast Asia. The makers of this supplement claim that this plant improves physical and mental performance, reduces muscle fatigue, and improves mood. Early research has shown that taking Eurycoma Longifolia may increase testosterone levels and increase muscle mass, but more research is still needed. Experts believe that it is possibly safe to take Eurycoma Longifolia by mouth in small amounts for up to nine months.

Rhodolia Rosea is a flower that grows in cold regions of the world. Some evidence suggests that this herb can help enhance physical performance, and reduce mental fatigue. However, there is conflicting evidence on whether taking this plant as a supplement helps improve athletic performance. Furthermore, the long-term safety of using Rhodolia Rosea is unknown, and any side effects are also unknown.

Green Tea Extract is a very well-known dietary supplement component. It’s been proven to increase mental alertness, thought there are inconsistent results from studies done on whether green tea affects athletic performance. Ask your doctor about using Green Tea Extract if you use stimulant drugs or Ephedrine, as there can be an interaction. Green Tea Extract contains several different amino acids and antioxidants that will help your overall health.

L-Theanine is an amino acid found in green tea. It has been proven to reduce mental and physical stress, improve cognition, and boost your mood. Medications for high blood pressure can cause interactions with L-Theanine taken as a dietary supplement. It’s not known to science whether using L-Theanine for long periods of time is safe.

L-Arginine is another amino acid. The makers of Jacked Antler claim that L-Arginine reduces mental and physical stress, and improves cognition. Arginine plays an important role in the body, helping with cell division, wound healing, immune function, hormone release, and more. However, there is inconsistent scientific evidence about the efficacy of L-Arginine for improving athletic performance. There are also various medical conditions and medications that this supplement ingredient interacts with, so talk to your doctor before using L-Arginine.

Stevia Extract comes from the Stevia rebaudiana plant, which is native to Brazil. The makers of this supplement claim that this extract boosts the immune system and heart health. However, there are no scientifically recognized medical uses for Stevia rebaudiana.

It is unstated how much of each of these other ingredients are in a serving of this supplement. However, they do state that the Rhodolia Rosea, L-Theanine, Green Tea Extract, Tribulus Extract, and Stevia Extract constitute their proprietary Growth Accelerator Complex, and that there is a combined 100 mg of these ingredients in a serving. The inactive ingredients of Jacked Antler include purified water, vegetable glycerin, natural flavoring, and citric acid.

Vegetable glycerin is a sticky substance often derived from soy or palm. It’s used in products to give them a different texture, not to provide any medical benefit. Natural flavoring can refer to any natural substance used as flavoring, so it’s unknown exactly what is being used to give flavor to the supplement. Citric acid is an acid found in citrus fruits. Citric acid is most likely added to Jacked Antler to give it a tart flavor.

The most promising ingredient of Jacked Antler is arguably the Green Tea Extract and L-Theanine. L-Arginine is also a runner-up. However, at over $80 per bottle, consumers would probably be better off buying pure Green Tea Extract, which can be added to any food or drink. Alternatively, you could drink regular green tea. This has the advantage of being available in every grocery store, and it’s a great alternative to coffee.

Please also note that throughout the website of this supplement, their ingredients list varies. This means that your bottle of the supplement may not contain all of the ingredients above, or could contain other ingredients not listed here. To know exactly what’s in your bottle, you probably will have to wait until it arrives in the mail. If you’re willing to not be 100% certain exactly what you’re ordering, then this supplement won’t be a problem for you. Otherwise, you would be better off ordering a different supplement with clearly listed ingredients.
