What Is Methandienone?
Methandienone is an anabolic steroid that is generally taken orally. It goes by a host of other names, including Averbol, DBOL, Danabol, and Dianabol. It is used as a bodybuilding supplement. It is extremely effective as a means of aiding bodybuilders as it utilizes a powerful combination of proteins along with the strength of muscle mass. It is known to create dramatic results within a relatively short period of time. It is extremely effective when taken orally as it breaks down into a small compound after being processed through the liver. In addition to this, it can decrease the amount of bonding that occurs with globulin, thus allowing for the steroid to stay in the body without causing further reactions chemically.
Generic Name: methanddrostenolone, Methandienone
Chemical Name: 17a-methyl-17b-hydroxy-l,4-androstadien-3-one l-Dehydro-17a-methyltestosterone
Half Life: 3-5 hours
Methandienone is typically best when taken on an empty stomach. The bioavailability of any oral anabolic steroid can be diminished when taken along with food. This is because steroid hormones are fat soluble by nature, and when the drug dissolves with other dietary fats that have not yet been fully digested, the ability of the gastrointestinal tract to absorb the drug is reduced. In order to maximize the utilization of Methandienone, it is best to portion out the tablets so that the concentration in your blood stream remains regulated. The flip side of this approach, however, is that the blood peak level will be much lower than when the tablets are taken all at once. So this approach has its pros and cons. According to studies, either approach can be effective in producing results. Regardless of whether or not you take all the prescribed tablets in once setting, or divide them up throughout the day, Methandienone can still be effective.
Side Effects of Methandienone
Methandienone is a mildly estrogenic steroid that is aromatized by the body. For this reason it may be appropriate for users to take antiestrogens along with it such as Proviron, Tamoxifena, or Clomifene Citrate. Taking antiestrogens during the cycle helps to regulate the level of estrogen in the body. Arimdex is an aromatase inhibitor which can be one of the most effective means of keeping estrogen levels in check, but it can also prove to be more expensive. Other possible side effects include:
- Increased aggression
Since Methandienone is a 17-alkylated drug, it is resistant to being deactivated by the liver. For this reason it can be toxic to the liver. In order to support liver function while taking this supplement, users can take Cod Liver Oil, Primrose Oil or something similar that contains linolenic acid. This helps promote liver health.
For men, the recommended dosage for body mass gains and a physique performance enhancing effect is around 25 to 50mg a day. It is best to divide this amount up throughout the day into four or five doses. This amount is considered optimal, though many bodybuilders will take as much as 250mg per day. The cycles can go from six to eight weeks long, and are generally followed by cycles of rest that last from six to eight weeks long.
For women, the recommended daily dosage that is proven to be the most effective is around five to ten mg. It is possible that Methandienone, when used by women, can create strong virilization symptoms in the body. For this reason it is recommended that individual users experiment and find the sweet spot that works for their body chemistry, lifestyle, and genetic makeup. It has been found that doses in the lower range, like 2.5 to 5mg, can be very effective in producing new muscle growth. Other studies have shown that a majority of female users notice an increase in acne upon taking this supplement at levels of only 10mg per day.
Positive effects of the oral ingestion of Methandienone include:
- Significant effect on protein metabolism
- Promotes protein synthesis
- Strong anabolic and androgenic effect
- Positive nitrogen balance
- Improved well being
Methandienone is more effective than mere testosterone at an similar amount. This is because Methandienone can produce similar results more quickly. It has a pronounced effect on the body’s protein metabolism. Methandienone is known to promote protein synthesis and as a result it engages in protein build up. While beginning users may use Methandienone alone while first entering the world of steroids, that is not the recommended approach. Experts say that it is best to take it along with other injectable steroids, as taking it along with other injectable steroids can enhance bulking cycles. Methandienone is known to help boost muscle mass gains more quickly that during the original four weeks of a stack. Users who took up around 30mg to 50mg per day reported increases in weight gains by as much as 15lbs.
Methandienone can only be processed by the liver in small quantities. The liver is only capable of deactivating small portions of the drug at a time. When large quantities of Methandienone enter into the bloodstream, especially for prolonged periods of time, the result can be possible damage to the liver, which in turn can lead to significant dysfunction in certain rare cases. In order to guard against this, it is highly recommended that users pay regular visits to check up with their physicians in order to maintain close monitoring of the liver functioning and activity. Studies have consistently reported, however, that modest portions of the drug, such as around 10mg a day or so, have only minimal effects on liver function.
Overall, Methandienone can be a powerful bodybuilding supplement when taken orally and used as directed. With the proper practices and instruction, users can see significant gains in a short period of time. There are some side effects, however. Physician consultation during usage is recommended.
Summary: Methandienone can only be processed by the liver in small quantities. The liver is only capable of deactivating small portions of the drug at a time. When large quantities of Methandienone enter into the bloodstream, especially for prolonged periods of time, the result can be possible damage to the liver. We advise against its usage because it can be very bad for your health.
