What Is Pure Muscle Boost?
Pure Muscle Boost is a pre-workout supplement designed to give athletes, bodybuilders or anyone an extra boost to their workout performance. The supplement is simple to take and delivered in capsule form, requiring only a glass of water and a few seconds of time. It is designed to be taken right before a workout once or twice a day. The effects of Pure Muscle Boost should be noticeable quickly and are designed to support workouts that last 30 minutes or longer.
The supplement combines only natural ingredients that are common to many pre-workout formulas that directly target muscular performance for improved workout results. The supplement should be combined with a proper diet and taken only before a rigorous workout and part of a demanding workout routine. Pure Muscle Boost can be taken as needed. Continuous supplementation is not required to receive the full benefits of the ingredients and taking the supplement during non-workout times will have little to no benefit.
Pure Muscle Boost is suitable for anyone looking to improve their athletic performance. While it is targeted at men, it can be safely used by women as well, and should be safe for most adults. Those with certain kidney conditions, low blood pressure or those taking blood thinners should consult with a doctor before taking the supplement because it may worsen or aggravate these conditions.
Pure Muscle Boost is created by Pure Boost, an American manufacturer based in Florida. In addition to this pre-workout supplement, Pure Boost creates two additional athletic supplements. The company stands out slightly from some other manufacturers in that their products are listed as being entirely American made and produced in a GMP certified facility. This gives a good indication of the quality and commitment of this manufacturer in producing supplements that contain what they say they contain and do what they are supposed to do. Such certification in production is noticeably lacking in many such supplements across the industry.
The manufacturer also clearly stands behind its products and is not hiding from customers. They publish full contact information, including an address, phone number, email and standard business hours. Their contact us page includes an online form for customers with simple questions.
The manufacturer does not publish details about the source of their ingredients or any research on the formula or what separates their product from the competition. A customer is wise to thoroughly investigate the product’s ingredients and reach their own conclusion about how Pure Boost’s formula ranks against the many others out there.
How Pure Muscle Boost Works?
Pure Muscle Boost presents a formula that directly targets the muscles to deliver a fast-acting boost to performance. It primarily delivers large amounts of L-Arginine with L-Citrulline and Dipotassium Phosphate. These ingredients have similar functions and support muscular endurance and growth in a variety of ways.
Most directly, these ingredients cause a significant increase in nitric oxide levels. Nitric oxide is a gas produced naturally by the cells lining blood vessels. It causes those blood vessels to dilate or become larger. This increases the blood supply to the muscles, which allows them to receive more oxygen and nutrients and dispense waste materials more easily. This increased blood supply gives the feeling of being “pumped” and also helps to greatly improve muscle stamina and recovery.
The ingredients also work with the kidneys to help the body metabolize and dispense with waste materials. The buildup of waste materials in the muscles is a primary contributor to muscular fatigue, soreness and longer recovery times. By enhancing the body’s ability to eliminate wastes, this supplement allows for increased stamina and decreased recovery times.
The supplement may also help to improve energy levels and the supply of energy delivered to muscles. This is primarily accomplished by the form of L-Arginine used in the supplement. This form of L-Arginine delivers both the amino acid and an important building block of the Krebs Cycle. This building block jump starts the cycle muscle cells use to turn nutrients into energy, providing a rapid boost of energy and simulating the effects of increased metabolism.
In addition to these direct effects on muscles, the ingredients have been shown to boost the levels of Human Growth Hormone in the body. Increased levels of HGH may have a variety of effects, including increased stamina, muscle mass and organ function.
Ingredients of Pure Muscle Boost
NO2 Loss Blend (800mg)
This blend of various forms of L-Arginine is the primary component of Pure Muscle Boost and accounts for the vast majority of its contents. Three forms of L-Arginine are included, each with slightly different effects and benefits. The supplement fails slightly in that it does not stipulate how much of each type is included in the formula, which would be useful information.
L-Arginine Alpha-Ketoglutarate (AAKG)
This form of L-Arginine is actually two supplements combined into one ingredient. It is L-Arginine, the amino acid primarily responsible for nitric oxide production, and Alpha-Ketoglutarate, which is an intermediate compound of the Krebs Cycle. Technically, each of these supplements can be taken in isolation, but it is helpful in many athletic supplements to combine them in this way because their effects are complementary.
This ingredient is listed first and is probably the most critical ingredient in the supplement. It delivers a portion of the NO boosting effects of L-Arginine while also providing the quick energy and metabolic stimulation of Alpha-Ketoglutarate. It is the ingredient responsible for the increased energy level and sudden boost of stamina a person may experience when taking this supplement.
The second ingredient listed is the basic form of L-Arginine. This is certainly a common and no-frills ingredient. It is a non-essential amino acid, which means that the body can produce sufficient amounts on its own. Supplementation, however, has been shown to be highly beneficial for athletes, bodybuilders or others with intense workout schedules.
L-Arginine is used by the body primarily to synthesize nitric oxide. The body rapidly uses and metabolizes nitric oxide, which means a steady supply of L-Arginine is required to sustain nitric oxide levels. The body produces sufficient amounts for this process in most people, but research has demonstrated that nitric oxide concentration in the blood will rise dramatically when excess L-Arginine is present. This means that unlike with some supplements, which are wasted in excess amounts, L-Arginine does cause a boost beyond the normal range, even in already healthy users.
The presence of regular L-Arginine in this supplement does seem somewhat odd, considering that two other, superior, forms of L-Arginine are already present. It is possible that regular L-Arginine was used to supply a higher dosage of the amino acid at reduced expense.
L-Arginine Monohydrochloride (HCL)
This form of L-Arginine is synthetically produced and combines regular L-Arginine with a hydrogen chloride molecule. This combination results in a generally superior form of L-Arginine that is more usable in supplements. This form of L-Arginine tends to be absorbed better by the body and is generally more palatable when taken in supplement form compared with regular L-Arginine.
In most respects, L-Arginine HCL provides the same benefits as regular L-Arginine but is superior to regular L-Arginine in its usefulness to the body. While it is a slightly more expensive form of the same compound, a person will likely receive a greater impact from the same amount of L-Arginine HCL as they would from an amount of regular L-Arginine.
This is another non-essential amino acid that has been strongly linked to muscular stamina and recovery. It differs from its close cousin L-Arginine in the role it plays. Rather than stimulating nitric oxide production, L-Citrulline supports the removal of byproducts from metabolism. This is commonly referred to as the Urea Cycle. Removal of these waste products is important for muscular recovery because a buildup of such waste products is a primary contributor to muscle soreness and failure.
Research has shown that L-Citrulline may actually be more beneficial than direct L-Arginine supplementation because it tends to be better absorbed than regular L-Arginine and can actually be converted into L-Arginine in the kidneys, supplying both nutrients.
While it is good that Pure Muscle Boost provides L-Citrulline, the tiny dosage of 5mg is far below that which has shown effectiveness in research. Most studies of L-Citrulline supplied 5-8 grams of the amino acid, or over 1000 times more of the substance than is delivered by this supplement. The L-Citrulline here is nothing more than a token effort and may not even be enough to provide a noticeable effect.
Dipotassium Phosphate (4mg)
Dipotassium Phosphate is a salt form of phosphorous that is combined with two potassium molecules. Both potassium and phosphorous are necessary and vital to the health of the body and play a role in many cellular functions and metabolism. Most people get sufficient amounts of both potassium and phosphorus from foods in a healthy diet.
That said, some research does support supplementing with this salt for extreme athletes and bodybuilders. It has been shown to provide a boost of oxygen supply and energy to muscles for enhanced workout stamina and reduced recovery times.
The small amount included in this supplement is sufficient because unlike with the amino acid ingredients, much smaller amounts of Dipotassium Phosphate are necessary for effectiveness.
The formula of Pure Muscle Boost is likely to provide an increase in muscular strength, stamina and energy levels. These effects should happen relatively quickly, which is the why the supplement is taken directly before a workout. The formula should also greatly help with muscle recovery and to reduce soreness or downtime between reps and exercises.
These benefits allow an athlete to work harder and for longer periods than they could otherwise. Full effectiveness of this pre-workout supplement is achieved when a user takes full advantage of the boost and pushes their workouts to the limit. When combined with a healthy diet and rigorous workout routine, Pure Muscle Boost is part of what will help a person achieve increased muscle mass and strength as well as reduced fat.
The biggest issue with Pure Muscle Boost is not its ingredients list but rather the amount of ingredients in question. Most research involving L-Arginine and L-Citrulline involved dosages far higher than what is provided by this supplement. A common dosage of L-Arginine is 2-3 grams, or over three times what is provided by Pure Muscle Boost. A consumer could simply take more than the recommended number of capsules, but this will of course increase the amount used and thus the cost of the supplement over time.
While the lower dosages may still be effective, a consumer may wish to increase the dosage if they do not notice an effect. It is also worth mentioning that some people do not respond well to L-Arginine supplementation at any dosage, so supplement responsibly and consult with a doctor before pushing the dosage past 3,000 mg. That said, some athletes have pushed their L-Arginine dosages as high as 30,000 mg, but this large amount is far more likely to induce side-effects such as nausea, diarrhea and vomiting. It is always better to increase supplementation gradually and be cautious when taking more than the recommended amount. Since this supplement contains more potent forms of L-Arginine, not just the standard form, smaller dosages should be tried first and increased only gradually as needed for effectiveness.
Pure Muscle Boost does not have any certifications or formal recognitions of effectiveness. This is not unusual for such pre-workout supplements. Most such supplements do not receive any certification unless the manufacturer aggressively pursues this, which can be time-consuming and expensive. Certification is not necessary to determine the supplement’s value and usefulness. Instead, a consumer should focus on a thorough understanding of the formula used, which contains all well-researched and established ingredients as a measure of effectiveness and usefulness.
I was getting tired of workout shakes and messy powders that I had to mix up before every workout. Often, I wouldn’t even use these products consistently because of the hassle. I like that this pre-workout formula combines many of the ingredients I need without hassle. It’s easy and quick to take, and I can easily remember to include it in my workout schedule. I was really happy with the quick results, and my workouts have definitely improved.

This supplement has done wonders for my workouts. It works quickly and provides that ultra-pumped feeling that I really enjoy. I’ve noticed that I can lift a lot more weight than I was able to before and my muscles don’t get as tired. My downtime between workouts and reps has decreased. I can really pack a lot of work into 30 or 40 minutes at the gym that I wasn’t able to do before. I highly recommend this product to anyone looking for an extra edge when it comes to workout out or bulking up.
Mike, 25, Frankfort, KY, USA
I can’t say enough good things about this product. It’s really easy to take, much less of a hassle than most formulas or powders. I also like that is has a focused and useful ingredient’s list. It doesn’t try to do anything off the wall or whack like some supplements. I get useful ingredients that I understand and can feel the effects of when I work out. Combing many forms of L-Arginine, rather than just one or two seems to set this supplement apart from many others I’ve looked at. I noticed changes to my ability and my muscles on the very first day of supplementing. I know for sure that I will never go back to my previous pre-workout and will never work out again without taking this supplement first.
Connor, 29, Boise City, ID, USA
I’ve been taking Pure Muscle Boost for several weeks now. My workouts these days are better than ever. I’m always feeling pumped and ready to go within moments of taking the supplement, and I’ve noticed I don’t get as sore as I used to. I’ve been able to work out more often without feeling as tired. This has really paid off for my body, and I’ve made more progress on my strength goals in the last few weeks than ever before.

Awards & Media Coverage
Pure Muscle Boost has no advertised awards or media coverage. This is not unusual for such pre-workout supplements. Supplements of this type rarely win awards. Media coverage for them is almost always the results of a paid advertising campaign rather than actual merit. This does not mean the supplement is bad or does not work as intended. Instead of focusing on media attention, a consumer should judge the merits of this supplement based on what’s in it and what’s known about the ingredients. In this case, the supplement stands out as having an ingredients list that is heavily researched and thoroughly understood. No media coverage or awards are needed to evaluate it fully.
Pure Boost does offer a 30-day money-back guarantee on this product. Bottles, opened or unopened, can be returned for a refund of the purchase price, minus shipping and handling. A customer must first call the service number and receive a Return Merchandise Authorization number to include on the packaging. This is standard practice for returns across the industry.
There are a few things to note about the return policy and real amount refunded. While the company does state that a full-refund is granted, this is not true in reality. If the package is not opened, the company charges a restocking fee of $19.95. It does not specify if this fee or any fee applies to opened packages. A customer will also have to pay for return shipping, which is not refunded. Refunds are generally applied within 3-5 business days after the product arrives at the return address.
It is nice to see that this manufacturer clearly describes their shipping times and policies for customers. According to their policies page, all packages are shipped via USPS Ground. They do offer an expedited shipping option that sends out orders on the same day the order is placed so long as that order was placed before 1 pm Pacific time. While the company cannot guarantee delivery dates, most orders take 3-5 business days to ship.
Shipping is offered to US residential addresses. It is not clear if shipping is offered to international addresses, military or diplomatic addresses at the same or different rates or at all. A customer at an address other than in the US should contact customer service before ordering to see if shipping to their address is possible.
Shipping rates are not specified in the policy page or on the orders page. It is not clear if shipping is included. Customers should contact the company for current shipping information and rates.
As an American-based company, Pure Boost does seem to provide good customer support for this product. They publish full contact information, including a US address, phone number and email as well as standard business hours. A quick contact form is provided on the website.
This is a slightly above average level of support for the product and shows that the company is serious about providing real support and assistance to customers. Most customer service requests are likely to do with ordering, billing or returns, but customer service representatives should also be able to answer basic questions about the product and its quality.
Safe & Secure Checkout
Online orders through the company’s website are safe and secure. The orders page for the product displays https encryption and logos in the URL bar. The page also has a separate SSL encryption logo presented. This ensures that billing and personal information is secure and confidential and that the transaction is safe. Customers should have no problems with security or identity theft when using the company’s order page to obtain the product directly.
Pure Muscle Boost is offered directly by the manufacturer through an online store. The product is offered in 1-bottle units, with each bottle containing 60 capsules or roughly a 1-month supply of the product. Since the product does not have to be consumed continually or consistently, a bottle may last more than 1-month, depending on usage.
A bottle is priced at $99.99. This is an extremely high price for L-Arginine per milligram. Customers should consider that isolated L-Arginine supplements, including the superior forms of L-Arginine such as HCL and AAKG, can be purchased for roughly 5-10 cents per gram in bulk powdered form. This supplement prices its formula at roughly $2.00 per gram. Customers are paying for the ease of use of capsule form and for the formula mix, which they would otherwise need to buy each ingredient individually. Customers should assess for themselves whether this significant price increase is worth those benefits.
Customers are free to order more than one bottle at time, but there does not appear to be a discount for buying in bulk. There is no subscription program or automatic billing service for this product, so bottles of the supplement may be ordered as needed.
