Oh Yeah! Bars

Oh Yeah Bars by Oh Yeah Nutrition Review – Are These One of the Best Protein Bars Out There?

What Are Oh Yeah Bars?

Oh Yeah Nutrition is a sports supplement and food company that seeks to provide quality sports nutrition products at a reasonable cost. They specialize in providing supplements rich in protein. These supplements are distributed across their major lines: protein bars, shakes, shake powders and vitamins.

Oh Yeah Nutrition supplements are certified by NSF International. NSF International was founded as the National Sanitation Foundation in 1944. Their mission was to investigate production environments for sanitary conditions. More recently, they have focused on investigating ingredients in eatable products manufacturing for validation and accuracy.

This focus developed into a methodology for evaluating products for athletic appropriateness. When they validate through independent investigation and testing that a product contains no banned substances and will not cause an athlete to fail drug testing, they issue a stamp supporting that data.

Though the protein bars do not qualify for evaluation because they are a food, all other products are all NSF certified. This means that there is nothing in them that could cause an athlete to fail or have questionable results in a drug screening. Oh Yeah Nutrition’s protein bars are also free of any ingredients prohibited by athletic organizations.

Oh Yeah produces three categories of protein bars. Oh Yeah One Bars weigh 60 grams each, are gluten-free, have one gram of sugar and either 21 or 22 grams of protein and 210-230 calories.

The Victory Bars weigh 65 grams each, are gluten free, Non-GMO, and especially designed to be low carbohydrates, having 8-11 grams of carbohydrates each.

OhYeah! Original Bars weigh 85 grams each, are gluten-free, have no trans fat, high protein at about 21-28 grams, have low carbohydrates at about 10-14 grams and higher calories per bar at 350-380. They also offer bars in a smaller size designed as snacks. These Good Grab bars weigh 45 grams each, are gluten-free, have 6-13 grams of carbohydrates, 13-15 grams of protein and 180-190 calories. They are small versions of the Victory bar.

OhYeah One Bars are gluten-free protein bars. Each OhYeah One bar contains one gram of sugar and either 21 or 22 grams of protein. Oh Yeah Nutrition seeks to minimize sugars while packing each bar with as much protein as they can. OhYeah One bars are offered in a variety of flavors and sizes, from single bars to boxes containing as many as 36 bars. The OhYeah One Bar, named for the single sugar in the bar, is available in these flavors: Almond Bliss, Chocolate Brownie, Cookies and Cream, Lemon Cake, Mint Chocolate Chip, Peanut Butter Pie, White Chocolate Raspberry, Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough, and Birthday Cake. Each contains only one sugar and either 21 or 22 grams of protein in the standard size.

Victory Bar come in all natural flavors with all natural ingredients. The flavors are: Vanilla Almond Crunch, Chocolate Fudge Brownie, Cookies and Cream, Peanut Butter Chip, Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough, and Oatmeal Raisin Cookie.

They are offered in Chocolate and Caramel, Chocolate, Caramel and Candies, Almond Fudge Brownie, Peanut Butter and Caramel, Creamy Vanilla and Caramel, Vanilla Toffee Fudge, Cookie Caramel Crunch, Peanut Butter and Strawberry, and Peanut Butter Crunch.

Good Grab Bars, which are approximately half the size of the full bars, are intended as snacks. The standard bars can be used as meal substitutes. The Good Grab bar come in the following flavors: Almond Fudge Brownie, Peanut Butter Crunch, Chocolate and Caramel, Chocolate, Caramel and Candies, Vanilla Toffee Fudge, Cookie Caramel Crunch and Peanut Butter and Caramel.

Testimonials

One bodybuilder tried every protein bar out there – and there are many, many bars on the market today. He found them often so packed with crunchy bits that they scratched the inside of his mouth and were frequently poor in taste. He wanted quick protein to build muscle mass without cooking a real meal in the middle of the day or settling for super-processed quick access “foods”.

He stumbled on Oh Yeah Nutrition bars when his local supermarket began to carry them. Might as well give them a try as well as all the others. He was in for a surprise. He found the first bar to be soft and chewy, without that frequent chemically after taste of so many bars; in fact, it actually tasted good. He went about his workout as usual and then on to work.

Before he knew it, the day was over and he had entirely bypassed the usual cravings he had to fight each afternoon. He had felt so full after eating the Oh Yeah Nutrition bar that his satisfaction lasted beyond that of a regular meal.

He returned to the supermarket and purchased a week’s supply of bars for a full test of the product. He actually liked each of the bars, though he found at the end of the week he liked the lemon best. The bars with more fiber were more filling, but all of the bars were satisfying, full of protein and made an excellent substitute for a meal.

Over time he became familiar with the different strengths of the various Oh Yeah Nutrition bars and has learned to use them judiciously. He keeps a supply of Good Grab bars at his desk. He uses them for snacks.

When there is a general office treat, such as for a birthday rather than succumb to the cake, he joins the group of coworkers and enjoys a Good Grab bar. Some of his coworkers have imitated him in this calorie-saving trick. Now there are a bunch of them snacking happily on Good Grab bars while the rest of the office packs on the sugars with mass-produced cake.
